A Kitchen and Dining Room Made for Family Life
This family loved their home, but the kitchen just wasn’t working for them. It was small, closed off, and didn’t offer the necessary space to cook, gather, or move around comfortably. Rather than relocating, they chose to stay and came to us to reshape their kitchen space to better suit their everyday life.
Low Ceilings and Layout Limits
With a new addition built onto the back of the house, the kitchen and dining room were finally able to breathe. The added square footage gave us the flexibility to remove interior walls and rework the entire layout. What was once a cramped, disconnected space now feels open, functional, and comfortably integrated with the rest of the home.
Affordable Upgrades That Get the Job Done
To emphasize the already existing natural feel of the home, we installed a custom butcher block countertop that added a handcrafted feel, paired with sleek Callacatta Vicenza stone countertops for a touch of elegance. The cabinetry features NorthPoint’s Catalina door style in Pebble Grey, providing a soft, neutral base. We also refinished the hardwood floors and added copper-toned pulls and lighting to complete the warm, balanced look throughout the kitchen.
Adding The Fine Details
To make the space friendlier, we refinished the existing hardwood floors and added copper-toned pulls. The lighting added contrast and helped bring the design together giving an overall calm and cohesive result built to last.
Bringing the Best of Both Worlds
By carefully balancing preservation with updates, we created a bathroom that feels both fresh and timeless, proving that sometimes the best path forward is one that respectfully acknowledges the past.
New Life In An Old Space
This project showcased many of our core services, including cabinet and tile installation, hardwood refinishing, wall removal, and floor plan redesign. Now, the kitchen feels like a natural part of the home, is open, welcoming, and ready for daily life. With a thoughtful layout and the right details, the space finally is fit for a family.
